My career in sales began in 1987 with Joan Harnett Real Estate and when an opportunity arose in 1995 I brought the company and renamed it to Ross Realty. I continued in sales as well as owner/director duties and in 2001 combined forces with Manchester Realty under the Nationwide banner as Ross Rule and Ward with a further name change to Homes Realty Ltd in 2006 to better reflect our residential sales focus and our growing internet sites and activity.
As I believe it is vitally important for the success of any business to be in touch on a day to day basis with clients needs and market trends, I continue to combine my Director duties with the role of a salesperson - a job which I love and continue to view as a challenge. In addition, my long standing role as a Committee Member with the Real Estate Institute of NZ, Canterbury/Westland Branch, allows me to keep in touch with all changes happening in the industry as well as serving the public as a member of the disciplinary committee for the National Institute.
Prior to my involvement in Real Estate I worked as a civil engineer - with a B.E. from Canterbury University and I find that my background and further study of building, property management and resource planning and appraisals, has been of great advantage to myself and my clients in assessing and advising on property matters and potential opportunities.
From our central city office, I work throughout the city and strongly believe in listening to clients requirements and matching people to their actual needs rather than trying to force a fit.
Having lived in a St Albans character home and now in Mt Pleasant I have an affinity with the central suburbs as well as an informed interest in the hills to Sumner area where, outside of work, I am a keen (ex-ultra distance!) runner.
In my real estate career, as in my personal pursuits, I believe in 100% commitment to personal service, professionalism and excellence - I will always go the extra mile to achieve beyond my client's expectations.
